Blog Posts are Boring?

When you think of blog posts, what comes to mind?

I think of my middle school teacher sitting us down, forcing us to type down our experiences on this one website so we can "look back on it in the future". Ssafe to say, no one took that session seriously. My perception of writing down blogs has been tainted ever since a young age as I found it mundane and time-consuming, it's not like me writing this will be interesting for anyone else to read anyways... right?

I believe I felt this way as I initially thought blogs were similar to academic writings where the main purpose of the topics was to be able to take something away from them. Something in the lines of "WHY I INVESTED IN THESE 5 STOCKS?" or "WHY YOU SHOULD TRAVEL TO ___, MY EXPERIENCE!". So why have I created a website specifically for writing down my thoughts 7 years later? Well, because I've realized blogs aren't necessarily meant to be shared with others. It can be a medium for me to write down and articulate my thoughts. I could share them if I wanted to, or I could keep them to myself.

So are blog posts boring? Yes they are, but only if you are looking into topics that don't interest you. I'm sure there is something for everyone on this planet, especially with the internet being as large as it is today. There's even the rise of artificial intelligence that can further add to digital content on the web. And no, don't worry. I won't be using ChatGPT to write my entries. That would just defeat the purpose of having this entire project wouldn't it?

Anyways, there's content for everyone, and mine just happens to be about the (relatable) everyday thoughts of a university student.
